Reservations
Trips should be scheduled in advance. Trips are scheduled on a first come first serve basis with priority given to doctor's appointments. Transportation is also provided for shopping and employment purposes.
All passengers must be residents of Catoosa County, Georgia.
Transit Service will travel to the Chattanooga Erlanger/Memorial/Parkridge area downtown Chattanooga and Gunbarrel/Shallowford Road for medical appointments. We do not take citizens to any other county for appointments.
Trips to and from places of employment within Catoosa County ONLY.
You must be ready an hour and a half before your appointment time. Drivers will only wait five minutes before proceeding to their next stop. Please be ready and watching for the bus to pull up as we will NOT give courtesy calls upon arrival.
Please have the complete street address of the destination available for the dispatcher. For a scheduled return trip without a pick up time, please call the transit office when you are ready to be picked up and a vehicle will be dispatched to you. The last pick up is 2:30 pm for the Chattanooga area, and 3:00 pm within Catoosa County.
Catoosa County Trans- Aid is a curb to curb service. If a rider needs assistance to and from the bus to enter or exit the destination, they should be responsible for providing an aid or attendant to ride along with them. Drivers are not to enter a rider’s home under any circumstance.
Shopping Trips
- Walmart: Tuesday 10:00 am- 12:00 pm
Only five shopping bags per passenger are allowed. Reservations for Wal-Mart trip must be made by 12:00 on Monday.
Appointments
Appointment reservations are taken up to 30 days in advance. Passengers that ride on a regular scheduled basis should call in their schedule at the end of every month. Transit drivers cannot book appointments; you must call the main office and have complete address of destination to schedule an appointment.
Cancellations
You must call and cancel at least an hour before your scheduled time. Failure to do so will result in a "no show". Three "no shows" will result in suspension from Transit Service for 30 days.
County Observed Holidays
Catoosa County Trans-Aid will be closed on County holidays and when the Catoosa County School System closes for inclement weather. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on Friday. If it falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on Monday. All the local news stations will have closure announcements.

Safety
- Per the Department of Transportation's Americans with Disabilities Act, all passengers must have their wheelchair secured while aboard Catoosa County Transit vehicles.
- Passengers who want to use the Lift must complete the Acknowledgement and Release form.
- All passengers must wear their seatbelts and stay seated while the bus is in motion.
- Service will be declined to a rider who refuses to buckle up or allow his or her wheelchair to be secured.
- Service will also be declined if a situation, in the Driver's opinion, is unsafe for the citizens or the driver of the vehicle.
Other
- The consumption of food, drink, tobacco related products, alcohol, or drugs are not allowed on transit vehicles.
- No passenger may ride on a transit vehicle while intoxicated.
- No animals, other than Service Animals, are allowed.
Requests for Reasonable Modification of Policies and Practices
Trans-aid will make reasonable modifications to policies, practices, or procedures when the modifications are necessary to avoid discrimination on the basis of disability or to provide program accessibility to its services, subject to the limitations of Federal Regulations 37.169(c)(1)-(3). Individuals requesting modifications to Trans-aid service shall contact the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Coordinator and describe what they need in order to use the service. Individuals requesting modifications are not required to use the term "reasonable modification" when making a request.
