Catoosa Citizens for Literacy
Catoosa Citizens for Literacy is housed in the Shirley Smith Learning Center and offers opportunities for adults to learn to read, improve their reading skills, take GED classes, and/or enroll in free basic computer classes. In addition, Catoosa Citizens for Literacy provides free GED testing, free childcare for the children of GED students, and free transportation for Catoosa County residents enrolled in the program.

Environmental Health
Environmental Health Departments regulate facilities by permitting and inspecting food service establishments, public swimming pools, tourist accommodations, organized campgrounds, tattoo studios, septic systems and various other programs. This Department also conducts complaint investigations or refers the complaints to the appropriate agencies.
Family Collaborative
The Catoosa Family Collaborative is housed in the Shirley Smith Learning Center and is based on the bringing together of state and local agencies as well as community, county and business leaders, and individuals who have the well being of families in mind.
UGA Extension
UGA Extension helps Georgians become healthier, more productive, financially independent and environmentally responsible. Extension agents stay in touch with issues relevant to people in local communities through county Extension offices.
