Depending on the type of business, Planning & Zoning and the Building Inspection Department may need to conduct an inspection prior to the license being issued. The Building Inspection Department has to ensure that the business meets life safety and building code requirements and Planning & Zoning has to ensure the business is allowed at that particular location.

If there are no issues with the building or location, a license can be issued within 24 hours.
